Just noticed the 358 MPH gusts!

Who recommended this site?

I'm going back to the BBC!

Might be worth looking on Wunderground to see if there is an amateur bod near you recording weather?  Dunno what their forecasts are like, but I find it handy for knowing what the actual temperature was (until I get around to installing my weather station that's sat on the desk here :( )

I've keeping an eye on this one for a few years now. It's just down the road from us and is very detailed.

There is one more local, but according to that we had no rain on Monday!

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Our local weather station says it got down to 4.8C last night and the min/max thermometer said a min of 6.5C inside the g/house

Some baby pumpkins on the shelf look a bit unhappy, but everthing else seems ok  :)

I didn't check that the temperature was going to go so low last night...  Apparently recorded 2 degrees and i'd just put out all the tomatoes, chillis, cucumbers and courgettes.  :(    Will see the damage tonight I guess but imagining the worst.  Bah.

Metcheck has got to be barmy!
(How can the "feels like" temperature be more than the actual temperature in many cases; it's supposed to take into account any wind-chill so can surely only ever be the same or less than "actual"?)

(Mind you, DD's "weatheroutlook" website doesn't make for very cheery reading for Sheffield after the weekend!)  :(

To plant out, or not to plant out; that is the question.

BBC is saying 10s,11s &12s but the Kingsnorth, Ashford weather station is consistently recording lower than that

So you just don't know what to believe  :(

That's why I've been using metcheck, cos if anything it errs on the side of caution, but I can't even get on their site today so I asssume they have problems

They forecast 300 mph winds this coming weekend, so yes, they have got problems...!

Perhaps a disgruntled employee has run amok with the anemometer as well as the thermometer causing them to go off line for a while

They got the rain right today though, but we still don't have the triple hurricane...

We are due an overnight low of 7oC this week. Quite late in the season for a very chilly night.

weather.com says 8C-10C for those nights, Met Office / BBC says 8C for Thursday, 5C for Friday.

But MetCheck is saying -5C for Thur/Fri, -3C, -5C, -4C for the following three nights.  That service has gone completely to the dogs of late
