Local TV & Metcheck have both forecast a low of 5C and possible grass or air frost tonight

But you haven't planted bedding stuff out yet have you?

Here's hoping we missed it as I simply couldn't get to the plot yesterday and my tatties need step ladders to reach the top! Bedding plants... my wife put ours out but my dad's garden is still waiting patiently for me.  ::)

My only bedding plants, busy Lizzies, are in the half barrels by the front door and they are fine this morning  :)

Certainly wasn't cold here either. I was out in the garden at 2am in a t-shirt, and not even a goose bump.

Now that is a lovely time of day. Quiet.  ;)

It's actually quite noisy in my garden then, cos there's always a bunch of owls buzzing around hunting their heads off. But that's a noise I don't mind listening to :)

Sounds idyllic

I can see why!

It says it'll be down to 4oC where I am and then, three hours later, up to 14oC

It's the down bit that's worrying  :(

I've no idea about mistakes but it was pretty nippy when I opened the front door a few minutes ago.

I'm hoping the local tv station has the correct over-night forecast (no frost) as it would be very hard to cover my potatoes in the dark without a torch and a step ladder.  :(

I also have two gardens full of bedding plants

I'm hoping for the best.

When I posted the link, the weather for Tuesday made some sort of sense, resaonable daytime temps, with night down to -1oC.

Now it's just stupid. As I type this it's giving wind speeds of up to 299 MPH!

Just noticed the 358 MPH gusts!

Who recommended this site?

I'm going back to the BBC!

BBC & Met Office don't go up to next Tuesday yet, but this one gives a min of 7oC, which I think is more believable!

A little alarmist to say the least.

Whatever our temperatures were last night (very chilly out at 2am when the rabbit started thumping) there was no frost.
