Oh bu*£er - just got in from work - too late now, although supposed to be frozen from now until midnight and then warm up a bit. It's cold, but not freezing - just have to hope that earthing up Sunday will have protected most of the ones that are through.
Nothing else out to worry about yet thank goodness, but will be gutted if spuds have frozen - still time to replant I suppose!

Grrrr, Metcheck says -1 and bbc says 5
What do you go with.

Try -2º and 6º respectively!  >:(

You have no choice but to work with the lowest figure and take it from there.

Where is "here" Briony?

Perhaps you can pop it in your profile.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Meanwhile, here in tropical Glasgow we enjoyed a mild night, maybe 5º. I'm still on guard though...  :tongue2:

Wasn't that 'cold' this morning down our way... met check had the weather as nowhere near frost when I checked at 7pm last night and pretty accurate I reckon

Well we ended up at 3.2º - no frost but cold enough.

Thanks Yorkie for your reply, have amended my profile.

I brought all my tomatos, pepper and chilli seedlings in and just wrapped all kinds of things around and over my vegies planted already outside and in my unheated greenhouse. I am just gonna hope for the best now.

Its my first year so am expecting some disappointments and hoping to learn alot for next year.

Great site by the way, so much information wih i had found it earlier.

it was 6 whe n i went to bed and (don't know what it was when i got up because the thermometer is on the sunny-in-the-morning side of the house and it said 14: think that might not be right) this morning!

but i did cover the peas and had to drag the plastic off this morning before i left for work, just in case!
(DD, I know they shouldn't be out yet, but they supplied a packet with about 80million peas in and i thought it was worth the risk!!!  )
