EBay – Debris netting – 2m x 50m Green £29.50 Free P&P
                                      3m x 50m            £22.50 Free P&P

And blue water pipe from Screwfix or Power Station in 20mm dia or 25mm dia and 25 or 50m rolls

Then poke in the ground cheap - or make a frame - lots of You Tube Videos on this and ICE has a neat version that looks more stable and does not need additional support see

I think you'll find that the 3m width one is only 20m long for that price and there is a slightly cheaper listing for the 2m width.

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I've been looking at buying enviromesh to keep the carrot fly off, does anyone know other standard ones ok or do I need the extra fine?

I brought a few small nets from wilko in autumn reduced to silly money so I'm hoping they'll keep me going

Greenfingers is selling insect mesh (2.6m x 4ishm) for a tenner at the moment. I got one and it's pretty much the same as the enviromesh I usually use.

Standard one is OK, you need the finer one for things like flea beetle.

My salad crops got flea beetle on them at home while I was trying to harden them off. They were crafty * tried to squish them all but they would drop to the soil as soon as they saw a finger!
