They look very drawn Mike to be honest - hope this is just one experiment of many so she isn't disappointed

Don't know where you've got them, Mike, but if you're after viable plants, they need to be somewhere lighter and cooler by the looks of it. In reasonably mild areas, they can be grown over winter in greenhouses or cold frames with no heating at all.

If I'm to be honest, I think a lot are beyond salvation, but try giving them more light and less heat and pinch the tops out to encourage side shoots to grow.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

That's a bit more straight to the point than I put it, but, yes!

So long as you don't tell children things are going wrong, they don't tend to worry about it.  Prune the sweet peas down and plant up a few more seeds.  Any flowers that eventually appear will thrill your little girl  :)

I only know because I did exactly the same, thought they were doing well and then they went all long and leggy and then died.....! So, if you inbox me your address I have some of seeds that I will send you ...and I'm going to ask my daughter onto the pink plant labels, love them!

the pink plant lables  are actually lolly pop sticks which you can buy in stationery shops or the pound shops, you get loads

we got a large pack of about 80 some pink yellow and green, just something different
