I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Mangetout - you've been able to out out for ages, beans - hopefully, (fingers crossed frost danger has passed), sweetcorn - I'd like to be sure it's going to stay warmish at night & not just frost free.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Well, the jury's out on the runners!

After tonight we're forecast for nothing less than 10C overnight for a bit, then getting a bit cooler, but nor frosty.

Mine aren't ready yet anyway.

That reminds me, neither is the bean fence!

Runners are about 8", in the greenhouse,  and I'm not even sure where all the string is either DD!

My runners are sown but only one has shown its face as yet.  It's fine.

I put my sweetcorn out last week but under pop bottle cloches ( a 2 litre soft drinks bottle, cut in half and used as a cloche) and they've all survived beautifully and are putting on a bit of muscle under there too.  I'll take the 'cloches' off in a few weeks time when the risk of frost has well and truly passed.
