Hi all,

This is my first post on the forum, I found you when trying to find out if I'd been ripped off with my new coop 

I bought a new coop last week from www.simplychickencoops.co.uk supposedly on next day delivery, but no sign of it yet. And the aren't answering my emails. Has anyone used them before? Are they even a real company?

sorry I have never used them but if you paid by paypal or by credit card then I would contact them to see about getting your money back.

welcome to the site and hopefully someone will be along to help you. have a read of the chicube thread that is currently dealing with a similar situation.

if you paid through paypal you can put in a complaint if you don't get very far with the company.

There is no telephone number on their web pages so not sure if you got one on your order conformation letter.

Given the address is for a residential street and the domain is registered for private individual. domain whois Its certainly not a factory producing them. It could either be someone building them in their 1st floor flat or someone just buying to sell on.

and a little more digging will give you this.. Director info Which is in the public domain so I don't think I'm crossing the line mods?

I've just sent them an e.mail on the pretence of asking about delivery. I got an answer withing 10 mins. singned off with "regards Sam". They are answering new e.mails but not yours. That sounds a bit dodgy to me.

I sent them an email at 10.07 asking for a telephone number so I could discuss about a coop that I was thinking about purchasing but so far no reply

It 'looks' like a legit website... mind you, you can achieve a lot in your bedroom on a laptop these days. I've also emailed asking for a phone number... you never know, someone might get lucky!

Yeah, it does 'look' legit. Its the no phone number thing thats getting me. should have spotted that.

I think you have, that address has had a string of dodgy businesses run from it, from bulk spiders webs to electronic goods to “direct from the manufactures”   bargain electronic,  to a company that will help you set up companies.  
Report them,

there are a number of businesses listed at this address.....i have called someone else who is supposedly onthe same floor....press 1 for general enquires and then asked to leave a message

Oh Dear. who do i report them to? I emailed them about delivery if i was a new customer & hey presto!
