1) Get all the brassicas in the ground at the four-leaf stage
2) Not forget that plants also need feeding

1 - Grow even more varieties of peas this year.

2 - Take some home with me.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

1) Remember to sow the second batch of sweetcorn to overlap the first in my continuing quest to get at least 2 cobs per plant (Star Trek or Mission Impossible?)

2) Get everything right and successfully grow Florence (bulb) Fennel.
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

  • Spring has Sprung!
1) Try not to get so excited at the first sign of spring that I fill every corner of the garden & allotment with tiny ickle seedlings (leading to the inevitable glut)
2) Learn how to plant successionally. Please...Please make this one come true.....

1) successional sowing
2) digging BEFORE winter/early spring so that the frost can do its work.
As well as the other tings i vowed to do diferently the year before, and the year before that.....

1. Find the strength to cast aside the weak, sickly seedlings instead of giving them extra TLC because they obviously need it.

2. Get the excess in the freezer instead of giving it all away, or get better at finding other ways of storing/preserving things that can't be frozen.

1. Use fleece on carrots so I should get 3 crops instead of just late Spring and Autumn/Winter. (Those flies are very busy in the Summer!)
2. Use every trick in the book to get more produce and interesting tasty produce. This includes clever interplanting, religious timings from seedtray to pot to bed for efficient crop rotation and of course....digging up MORE lawn! :D :D :D

Try to sow follow on crops so that I have a supply all season and stop sowing things we never eat and don't even like.  ::)
