Our site is also pretty exposed, and like others, we have broad beans and peas at odd angles now, but have done our best to make sure they are not dragging on the ground. Dwarf beans took a real battering and will take a while to get over it I think. Most sunflowers were already staked at about 75cm and are fine.

Two apples trees went over, one because the tie on the stake snapped and the other was very lopsided indeed. After sawing off two largish branches, we managed to push the tree back up straight and secure it with guy ropes. Stakes will follow when we have something good and sturdy.

New polytunnel creaks a lot, the catch to the door is inadequate (Now fixed a new second temporary one) but it is still there... thank goodness!

Still been really windy this morning, plus more rain, but the trees are still in place

High winds and torrential rain, have just checked as I was passing the allotment, everything is fine except the foxgloves, they have all been blown over, the bees will lose out i'm afraid!
