Next door neighbours have a Russian Vine on our border fence. It has gone mental with all this rain. Is there a suitable weedkiller which I can apply to the leaves on my side of the fence in the dead of night, so it will die back to the ground?

I know this is a bit anti-social, but not as anti-social as planting the bl**dy thing in the first place.

I'm sure our garden is starting to suffer because of all this rain. Either all the nutrients are being washed out of the soil, or plants are being effectively overwatered. Several are showing signs of pale leaves and leggy growth etc.
Growing salad leaves isn't rocket science.

Hek think you'll find its illegal to spray your neighbours plants, why not simply tell them you intend to trim it and ask them what they want you to do with the trimmings, it's their plant remember. I think you could get done for theft or something similar if you just chuck 'em or compost it, DD would know.

My neighbour planted bindweed which is now venturing into my garden.

The thing is the soil is that bad it may be the only thing that will grow.

Yes WG, one of my other neighbours gave her it and she thinks it is some sort of climbing plant and is so grateful.

Will see if I can get a photo so you experts can confirm.
