If you want to be happy for a short time - get drunk.

If you want to be happy for a long time - fall in love.

If you want to be happy forever - take up gardening!

Was happy to see the rain too today!

Popped to the allotment for an hour this afternoon to plan tomorrow.. Should be dry im hoping!

Plans are

Dig up bed for runner beans
Dig up bed for and plant tomatos
Put something in for the peas to climb up
lots of weeding
dig up all the stinging nettles on the path to the allotment before my other half and son turn up!

Hoping for some better weather tomorrow but as above well happy it rained today.. was ready to grab the watering cans and head out first thing :)

Just popping over in a minute to spray the blackcurent bush, has aphids. Will try this mixture of chilli and garlic out on it. Then out for the day over the forest  :)

Hi! I weeded and thinned my row of beetroot, weeded the peas ( can actually see them now!) and dug in lots of gardeners delight tomatoe plants and cucumbers that have been taking over the greenhouse!

Oh and my nephew planted his first runner bean that he started growing at school :) happy times :)

First 2 full days on the plot - dug over 1/3 of the plot, removing shedloads of perennial weeds & couch grass. Put up some wire fencing to stop the local monkjack getting in, and then finally hubby made us 4ft x 24 foot ever so slightly raised bed.
Looking forward to going back to the office tomorrow for a rest :D
