Finished some of the gate painting, cut down some bushes in the garden and tidied up some of the debris from last night's wind. :)

Lovely jubbly!! (manure  ;) )

Nosing? It makes good sense to see how yours squares / measures up to other plots and to keep an eye out for good ideas.  ;)

Better still if no one is around - cuts out all the long-winded natter & chat  :)

My fuchsias all got caught with that first early frost :( so they are now brown and crispy........I ve moved them to the greenhouse in the hopes that the roots are still alive and will regrow

The geraniums in the window box escaped any damage and are still flowering ;)

Spent yesterday brushing up leaves with the kids (they're still on half term), had the place looking great, compost heap bursting and not a conker in site, then it rained and blew a mini gale in the night and the yard is a kip again!

Had to move the chook house as they are in danger of being swamped and I may need a small boat just to feed them if this rain continues.  The Turkeys are looking very sorry for themselves - do you think they know they are on borrowed time??

Still a little life left in my geraniums too.
Dellie :)

Dug the first parsnip and roasted it with our own carrots and butternut squash.  Fabulous!

Finished tidying the top end of the plot and refreshed my memory of my plans for my fruit area. Got rid of all the perennial weeds (everything comes out really easily up there as the soil is lovely) and started double digging where the raspberries are going.

It was a bit heavy going to start with, must get something to cover the ground with or I'll never get the onions in
