Just having a conversation with the wife, I say of course you can eat the leaves from Cauliflowers and she says can you? I have some large Cauliflowers growing at the moment and i think that its a waste not to blance the leaves aswell and eat them at some point when the cabbage runs out. I also have some sprouts growing well at the moment but just at the huge leaf stage, is there a good reason not to eat these aswell.

Nothing to keep you back from eating them.

The only thing I would say about eating sprout leaves, is that by stripping the plant of them, you are destroying it's food making factory, so don't expect such a good sprout harvest. (Bet they'd be tough as well!).

Brussel tops are my favourite greens but I don't pick them until the plant has stopped growing and the sprouts are well swollen.

Well, I didn't really think before harvest.

Before harvest I tend to use beetroot and khol-rabi leaves taking 1 or 2 a plant along the row, depending on their size.
