Weeded the strawberry bed.  Gave a seaweed feed to a few plants.   Watered and weeded in polytunnel.  Planted out more spring onions.

Very productive day. Cleared old  compost corner, weeded, dug over and pulled up bricks, old posts and rubbish! Ready now for my sweetcorn  :)

Lots, 8 hours of it. Had a big bonfire. Weeded under the fruit trees,a trimmed the last grass path & raked it all up & added it to the bonfire.

plots needed tidying, This morning I was out of the door at 6.30, 7 hours up the plot. hedge trimmed, paths strimmed, unplanted area rotovated, then replanted the french beans, (allottment assoc are putting a herris fence around the allottment inside the hedge, unfortunately my french beans had a few weeds (even I couldnt find the beans)the bed had been trampled in installing the fence, so it was weeded, rotovated and replanted. more peas and beans planted and weeding done in the foot high grass patch, so now you can see the onions, garlic and potatoes to hoe between plants.

Nothing (unfortunately), much to do, but upon inspection this morning the plot was too wet after the 30mm of rain last night.

Cut down the haulms from the Pentland Javelins and burned them due to blight.  Sprayed the rest of the potatoes and harvested some Sharpe's Express.

Helped OH put up the metal framework for the large polytunnel.

Picked a lettuce and some more garlic scapes.

I haven't been since Thursday and I am amazed at how everything has grown.

Seeds have sprouted that have been sitting doing nothing for days, and I've got pea pods and bean pods, and ripe strawberries! And the apples have doubled in size...and sweet peas! And I've got a frog in my new pond... :)

The downside is that the weeds have also germinated well and there is a green fuzz over the surface of the beds where I spread home made compost.  I knew there would be a price to pay for all that free compost. :nowink:

On Father's Day... rushed about putting up a new front fence for my mother with the help of my son and Mrs Plots.

Then... nipped to the veg plot next-door to find the flipping foxes (or nextdoor's dog?) had jumped all over my brassica patch as the debris netting frame was flopped, lots of muddy paw prints and some of the plants snapped.  >:( Rather took the edge off a relaxed and productive Sunday.

Oh well... at least I have a veg patch to be trampled.  ::)

Just got back from a couple of hours down there. On a late shift this week (2pm-11pm), weather permitting should be down there every morning this week. Wife was weeding, strimming paths and edges while I was digging over a small plot ready for cabbages and broccoli.

We went down yesterday pm and strimmed the paths but it got too warm to do anything else.  So I got up early this morning and went back up while it was still cool.  Tied in the Tom's, planted some of the Dahlias, planted some Lettuce and sowed some Beetroot to replace the sowings which never came to anything.  Then I did some weeding and watering before I came home for lunch.
