Just erected some more fencing today after taking over a plot which had been given up by an elderly gentleman. Turns out a group of teenagers dragged the last fence to the ground on bonfire night for firewood and shed too! If I catch them near it again however I intend to carry out my own version of justice!!!!
Chin up. I strongly believe in what goes around comes around!

Thats a real bummer mate, have you thought about making a replacement shed, out of corugated steel sheets, that would be vandal proof, hope you get back on track soon, you've got the right attitude  :)

and perhaps attach a heavy duty battery to it and cause just a little pain? Seriously tho'.....you must feel so despondant....I felt the same when my allotment was trashed....but you do  eventually feel good about gardening again :)

What seeds did you have?I`ve almost stocked ready but with many packets containing 100-2000 odd seeds could send some if that would help at all.

It happened to my grandmother years ago and it broke her heart!
I have seeds to spare if you want some.
That just makes my blood boil!

Don't let them get you down. Their is so much enjoyment to be had from an allotment.

Any seeds you are looking for again? Would gladly help if I could.

It's an all too common problem in Carlisle. Luckily my plot is on the outskirts and a bit too far for the cretins to be bothered to walk! I work for the boys in blue as a CSI and have 1st hand experience of these idiots in action. Absolutely NO RESPECT for anyone or anything anymore. Unfortunately what they need is (as someone further back said) a good walloping, but the namby pamby brigade have put paid to that. Same with the police, you can't touch them/speak to them in the wrong way in case you violate THEIR human rights.
Rant over....you maybe guessed that this part of my job makes my blood boil!!!!

I've recently enlisted the help of a Police colleague to renovate the plot (got a snotty letter from the lady at the council). Luckily we're back on track. Can't think there'll be too many plots run by bobbies. Maybe we should set up "Plot Watch"....but like Farm Watch or Pub Watch!!! We could tour the City chasing away the gangs with a big stick and Rottweiler (sorry...wishful thinking again)!!

Wonderful news!  I know how I'd feel if I thought my precious box of carefully chosen seeds was incinerated.... and also how delighted I'd feel to have found them again....

Hope you have some way of replacing the shed & tools ..... insurance?

Happy sowing.  :D
