Our hen that I posted a few days ago with what I thought was a cold, has died.  She has been fine for two days and then today she blew up like a balloon, seized and died.  Immediately, all this yellow water started dripping out of her mouth and so much poured out that both my husband and I had to change our clothes and bathe after burying her.  We are gutted.  She was a wonderful top hen.  Can't believe she's gone.

I'm very sorry to hear about your hen. Someone else lost a girl today too so commiserations all round.  They can get very sick, very quickly and die despite our best efforts

That doesn't make it any less painful but at least you have the satisfaction of knowing that she was loved and cared for

Thank you for you comforting thoughts.  My Repecka was a Black Rock.  I can't believe I am down to two hens now.  My life is emptier.

So sorry to hear this, I lost one of my girls on Thursday so I know how you feel

So sorry for your loss, I too have recently lost a girl she was only 1, and am now down to 2 girls
