Despite my best efforts and a course of antibiotics my 3.5 year old Warren hybrid died this morning. She'd been suffering with sour crop since about 10th May.  On Saturday I thought we'd turned the corner as she was out in the garden and she ate some tasty morsels, took her medication, but declined yesterday. She died on my lap this morning before I could get her to the vet to be put to sleep

Oh, I'm so sorry about your hen.  Sounds like you did your utmost to help her get better, that's all we can really do.

Sorry to hear about your hen CQ - we really do get so fond of them that it really makes it difficult when we lose one. You really did your best for her.

I read your postings on the sour crop thread and really hoped for the best for your lovely girl, so sad for you but it sounds like you really did your best and what a good life she has had with you

She was my boss hen and she was very bold and feisty and I shall miss her very much
