My lovely Babs died this morning, in my arms, by the fire. She was sick yesterday and I kept her indoors over night but she was just too poorly and didn't make it

I'm so upset as she was just so lovely

i lost my germen shepard (i know its not the same), she was only 6 months and that was heartbreaking!!!

Yes, she had the best of times and was well loved and cared for, was very affectionate and my favourite (not really) but I told her she was (I tell them all that  )  Everyone called her Blondie

So sorry to hear your sad news!
I know how it feels as I was heartbroken when my little pet chicken Bella died. It happened on my sons 21st Birthday. Over a year ago now. What a awful day that was. We slept on the floor and nursed her untill she died with us close by. Every Monday even now I think of her. I love that little bird and will never forget her. It took us over a year to feel ready to have keep chickens again.
She found us on the morning of the Boxing Day Sunarmi [can't spell it] up our Apple tree. We were great buddies and she lived in a penthouse in our consrvatory.I feel she is always close by.
So your not alone how your feeling. All those happy memories help you through, she knew whow much you loved her, especially when she needed you the most.xxx
