Never heard this before nor on here so asking is this true.  We laughed at it, but, is it right? 

A friend has just got her first batch of chickens and been told how to keep mice/rats away from the run, to keep food up at night, yes, i agree with that, THEN TO PUT HUMAN WEE AROUND AS IT'LL KEEP EM AWAY

It might keep foxes at bay.... for a while, but not rats and mice, best to store your food in metal containers

Male human urine is supposed to deter foxes, but I also heard that ferret droppings can deter rats.  Anyone in Aberdeenshire got a ferret?  I'll pop round and see you when you clean out your hutch!

Seeing as rats live in sewers I don't think it will work.
