just got to red lake redcurrant plants wot do i have to had to the soil wen planting do i put them in the same place the last to plants did not serve  the frost

Normally red currants are quite frost proof, but young plants might not be so tough. For the time being, best to pot them up and leave them somewhere comfortable until the weather is better and then plant them out. When they've had a year in the garden, they'll be able to handle anything.

If you think you have bad frost pockets on your plot, then find another spot that's a bit higher for the currants, or even mound up soil and plant them in the mound. This will also keep the roots from drowning if you get heavy rains.
