One of my hens keeps being mounted by our neighbours cockerel he grabs her neck for 5 seconds or so he flaps abit then jumps off, i am a bit of a novice so is he mating with her or is he trying to? she dont seem bothered by him doing this and she hasnt lost any neck feathers this has been going on for just over a week.


Any info or advice would be gratefull

Sounds about standard.

Cockerals can be a bit rough so if you start seeing any damage i would just keep him out your garden if your not wanting fertile eggs.
