NEW ALLOTMENT PROGRESS PHOTOS
« on: November 03, 2011, 21:25 »
Hello all - I have only had my allotment for 2 months and can not begin to say how much fun we have had working on it. ::)  it has been lots of hard work but so worthwhile.

See attached 2 photos that show it on the day we got the keys and then 2 months later.

Thanks for the help and responses to the posts I have put on the site - all very helpful.

Can't wait until spring !!

That's looking really good, there's things you can plant now.

we have planted, raspberry bushes, winter onion sets, shallots, broad beans and Garlic.  Plus some Daffs around the new shed for a bit of colour in the early part of next year.  Plus we have planted out a section in rye grass for green manure.

I think that is it for now but on any clear weekends throughout the winter we will peel back the tarpaulin and continue digging and weeding  :(

All good fun

What a great start!

Those water butts are a godsend aren't they! We finished up with three at home, and took one down to the plot for liquid manure on tap...;0)
