Has blight struck yet?

Our potatoes have got blight as it seems have most people's.

We've grown tomatoes at home and they're fine but there's a lot of blight on other people's at the allotment site.

If it hasn't got you yet - you can try to avoid it with 'bordeaux mixture' avaliable no doubt from many grden centres but also from the 'Organic Gardening Catalogue' online. As you can get it from the organic gardeners - I term it as oganic!

nearly every plot on my site has blight now - nothing was showing on mine but i decided to dig them all up yesterday - just in case.

i have stored them in small quanties - in boxes and sacks - so that i can keep an eye on them - just in case they start to rot.

will cook and freeze a high proportion of them - just in case they don't store.

think i will have to get a bigger freezer  :D

I lost all my tomatoes last year through Blight both in the garden and in the green house. Best crop ever. This year at present outdoor has bottom leaves all black. Green house all ok so far what is blight and how does it travel. Is it air bourne or soil based?
trying Blight resistant this year from T & M
