Any good ideas how to get rid of caterpillars from the leaves of turnips.A bit fed up squeezing the little blighters.Many thanks.

A good squirt with salty water might do the trick

Sunshineband – salty water?  First time I have heard of that, does it work and do you use it on anything else.

Blackpool is just down the road, I can get gallons of the stuff

Soapy water does not work you end up with squeaky clean caterpillars with lovely soft hands.

You could try salty water next time

Not too strong though!! You could "kill" the soil, couldn't you?

I don't use a supersaturated solution, just slightly salty and tbh not that much makes it down to the soil
