Raised beds almost up and running ...

We have now built the raised beds, and a lorry load of compost/soil mix arrived today. Husband and no. 2 son have spent the whole day wheelbarrowing the compost into the beds. However, although the compost looks OK, it clearly hasn't quite finished composting: the pile of compost is giving off heat, and it's a bit whiffy too. How long before we can actually plant stuff, do you think?

If it's still giving off heat, you'd best wait until its cooler

I think I'll go out there are blow on it - I'm so impatient to get my crops in the ground!
