Hello all.  Had to cull a cockerel tonight - my first one.  Anyone else had an equally unpleasant first experience?

no, not for meat - I don't eat the stuff.  He was ill; had a leg he couldn't walk on so it wasn't fair to keep him in that condition I felt.  Shame, was nice looking bird too.

Oh... that's a great shame Monty.  Good choice to cull him then, nasty job if its's a bird you like though  :cry:

Yes me too 1st time was unpleasant.
Good choice though Monty, looks as if I have one I need to deal with.

Its never a nice job is it :?
we have two for dispatch this evening (- OH gets home from work)

They have started getting too aggressive and with a 2 yr old wandering about.......
