Hi we've got a glut of almonds just now and as i was shelling some today i wondered if it was safe to give some as a treat to our hens? Also i've been giving them corn on the cob without cooking it which they love- should i be cooking it first? Sorry if the questions are a bit daft but i'm just not sure. Maggie

Giving them a few I would think OK, just bear in mind that almonds are high in fat and protein content so large amounts are not going to be healthy
