Hi All!  We'll be off soon to get our chickens and was wondering where to get that limestone flour/powder?  I didn't see it at the local feed store.  I got my cider vinegar on Ebay.  Maybe I should check on there?

I got some at a local horsey place. It's quite heavy so might cost a bit to post from ebay.

If you can find a tack shop type place or agricultural supplier, they might have some

Try Mole vally farmers if you have one near by.

If your hens are fed on layers feed and they are healthy and laying good eggs you do NOT need to add any limestone flour to their diet.

ONLY use it if they lay soft shelled eggs.  Too much calcium can be bad for the kidneys.

Make sure they always have crushed oyster shell and grit available to snack on.
