  Hi we have had four warrens since november and have extended thier coop and run and bought six new chickens. All is not well, the old girls won't let the new girls out of the coop they are alot quieter now but how long will it take before we have a happy little flock again? The old girls eggs have got paler shells now is this anything to worry about? HELP please stressed!!!!!

It can take along time to get old & new hens together happily.
Are they actually attacking the new girls
Is it possible to have a separate run or divide the one you have into two. That way the girls can see each other but not harm each other.
You could still use the coop at night for all of them but then lift the new ones into the new run for during the day

 :wacko:the old girls give the new girls a nip on the back of the neck if they come out. When we get home we separate them so all are getting out and about for a while. The only time the old girls didn't bother was when there was marmite on toast in the offing just pinched their share!
