Where's everyone gone?

Was the Q really that hard?  .....

It must be 'cos I've tried googling and can't find the answer there either.

I'm getting really scared on my lonesome,   and I'm talking to myself aswell

this is a good topic. we routinely do squash and maize no worries, and the berbers do a great tree and cereal duoculture which you could try with oats. i'll also put in squashes around the fruit trees this year if only to keep the weeds down! once i accidently did beans and holly and this was great except for getting at the beans, but if you have a hedge it's better than bindweed. we've also done spinach between potatoes with success. would be pleased to hear more ideas..

Last year I tried the 3 sisters...sweet corn with french beans growing up it and squash in between..but only a few french beans came up. I think the mice ate them. I hope to try it again this year.
