This is just the weather for planting such things!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I got very muddy on Sunday planting out my kale. When I'd finished, the rain stopped. Still they're getting watered in nicely now.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

we did our cauli's cabbages and broc at the start of the week, when it was raining - its still raining and they look fab, all perky and settled.
i also planted kale and all the rain saves me having to water it
just keep breathing................

If we get one dry day this year it will sunny and warm and it will more than likely be Christmas Day! OH has suggested an Ark (obviously has a high opinion of himself) but wood quite pricey at B and Q   - Went to lottie in wellies hat  and mac, bottom end flooded rest sloppy mud so plants still in pots till Sunday which is supposed to be a better day perhaps they mean the rain wont be so wet :)

This weather is really starting to depress me..... not had a day with out rain for ages now and we are almost in the middle of JULY!!!!!!!!!!!! I have so much that needs doing outside and I just cannot do it... My lottie is on of the reason why I still wanna stay in this damn country, but I am now starting to feel the pull of a nicer climate and stuff the allotment...

Well yesterday I thought I aint stayin in anymore...  missin the lottie more than ever with foot broken and dont trust anyone elses idea of 'weeding' so I put a black bag on my lead boot and water proof trousers / coat and marigolds (gloves) and had 3 very enjoyable hours in the rain pulling buckets of baby nettles from around... just about everything!!!

The rain was lovely... everywhere was quiet in the middle of Birmingham apart from the patter of rain drops on my hood!!

We aint made of sugar as my dear mother always reminds me!

  bless her!
Its my first year....  an I am loving it!
