hi ia m  a novice with a new plot .i have been given a bale of sawdust and wondered if anygood for keeping slugs and snails from me veg ....thanks in advance

If it is very fine, and you can keep it very dry it might work, but I reckon there are better methods.

Put enough sawdust around your plants against slugs and you start losing nitrogen, which the sawdust needs to breakdown, and your plants start suffering.

I would suggest using a multi pronged attack on slugs, beer traps, pellets if you want to, oatmeal is supposed to good - they eat it and explode as it swells up apparently :twisted:
