For a supposed expert he seemed clueless last week so I had a bath instead as I knew I would end up shouting at the tele if I watched it

Personally, I think it is. It must have been made after Geoff left GW and went on his own. It's the first of his gardens at Barnsdale and combined flowers interplanted with veg in the 'average home garden'. Lots of common sense ideas and easy methods. I never tire of watching it. There's even a book on it if you can't find the dvd.

I meant to watch GW tonight... but forgot!

Sounds like I didn't miss anything..... I haven't watched it for years, it was sooo much better in Geoffs day. He was such a lovely chap and soooo easy to watch. I love all his re runs on UKTV Gardens.
Snappy

No amount of time can erase the memory of a good cat, and no amount of masking tape can ever totally remove his fur from your couch.

I could give up chocolate but I'm not a quitter.

They re-run the ornamental gardener on UKTV gardens.
1 x hubby
2 x daughters
3 x chickens
1 x bunny
6 x african snails  . . . . . and counting.

sound advice i was given as a younger man when doing anything was 'finish one job b4 u start the next one' so it tickled me the amount of times he half did one thing and then said 'ill leave this now and do this' lol
when i got my shed it was in similar condition to that one and it took me nearly 2 days to erect it, re roof it and brace the insides to stop  the wind blowing it down.and then there was the rotavator bouncing over the top of the soil.
even the area looked massive to me - quite daunting, i started with a small patch in the garden and have gradually made it bigger as i learnt the job and got to grips with the basics of growing and soil and plant care.

Sadly I agree with all of the above, I was looking forward to it too! I hope the next episode is a little more realisitic. That young family had a big garden too, I'd love to see some-one do a gardening prog in a tiny one where space is so limited, and on a serious budget, like being unemployed, use a bus, an old banger or bicycle to get from A-B like everyday folk do. A realisitic cold hard light of day programme we can relate to ..... sorry folks getting a bit carried away there, but do you get my drift?  :?:  :)

It's being repeated tonight on BBC2W (Channel 991) at 7.30 (I think)
