I've been sowing some french / runner beans in toilet roll tubes, and have noticed that some of them have got mould on them. Should I discard these, or will they be ok to plant out?

I've often hard that the toilet roll tubes go mouldy.  How about transfering them into some Richy's newspaper tubes.  They're very good !

All paper gonna go mouldy as they start to rot  from being damp from watered, part of life, compost, nothing to do with glue and all sorts of nonsense, just natural rot of things.

It doesn't bother the plants.  I got mouldy bog rolls and they were ok.  Did runner beans in some different brand rolls and they got no mould so obviously you're using the wrong brand  

Planted my broadies out, complete with bog rolls, a few weeks ago and they had lovely root systems
