Hacked down blackthorn trees and brambles  - time for a bath and a snifter of something before I seize up completely!

No snow here or rain. spent 2 hours digging dug up some more nettles - looks like someone's been out with a metal detector randomly diggin my plot.

Planted out 3 potted black currants big ben, I cut them right down in autumn and feel a bit gutted to have gone to all that hard work today knowing I'll get no fruit this year.

Hand a wander of the site and found 1 plot with spuds in. Hopin to get mine in over Easter now but have no idea what the weathers up to.

Got tomorrow off work and will try a little more digging.

Absolutely nothing. Just got back from Wembley Stadium after watching the Mighty Wrexham FC win the FA trophy.

took the rotovator up the plot, was runninng ok but kept flooding and cutting out - realised the float pivot pin is only held on at one side in that carb, it kept dropping off - replaced for newer spare carb and its now running ok, I'll have another go tomorrow and see if it runs better, I will get there.

Got a fair bit of digging done today.........................shame it was with a snow shovel rather than a spade!
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

I planted out my broad beans into the bed from the cold frame. I put cloche tunnels on just for the transition, but they should be okay, even though snow was landing on my back as I planted!

dug and weede approx 4.5 x 0.5m today - the start of the potato bed.

The soil seemed much heavier today than yesterday dispite no snow or rain it's a completely different area of the plot so can only assume its heavier in that corner.

I have another 4.5 x 7m to dig :( took me the best part of 3 hours today so the rest should take me no more than 42 hours.... all of easter. Luckily I have family coming
