Hi Just been on a walk around our local woods and came across load of big fat juicy slugs.
Can these be collected and fed to Chickens.
If they can is there a limit on how any they can have .

Hi there! strangely enough mine don't like slugs!they love snails though???As for how many they can eat not too sure, as mine free range not sure how many things they find and scoff but you have to make sure your girls are regulary wormed( I'm sure you do) because the slimy things can contain nasties :PGreat idea though!!

Make sure you worm your chickens several times a year as slugs often contain worms. My chickens only like little slugs and big juicy snails - quite funny watching a hen throw a snail around trying to get at it - I am used to watching thrushes do it but not hens

Mine love snails too,but avoid slugs.

They appreciate me smashing the little devils' shells first,watching them chase each other round the garden with one dangling from their mouths is really funny!
