Not up the lottie, but sowed some leek 'Volta' and Cape Gooseberry 'Golden Berry' seeds in my nice warm kitchen when I woke up this afternoon! :)

Had a look round my back garden and decided it was time for a makeover. Soon went back indoor for a cuppa and started planning.

A chilly east wind and snow flurries kept me on the move.  Looked forlornly at last 25 shallots waiting to go in. Finished constructing the 3rd raised bed, and emptied a half full dump bag of topsoil.  Then in for a lovely cuppa.

Finally making some progress

Weather stayed dry all last week so yesterday managed to dig a bed on my plot, just 1 1/2 beds left to dig now. Today bought seed potatoes (1st & 2nd earlies) which I have left to chit on a north facing windowsill. This afternoon dug a large bed (10 sq m) on the community allotment which will be used for fruit. I'm now tired and could do with a lower back massage.

Saturday - A brief visit to deliver manure and a bag of 6x to the plot.

Sunday - Built a heated propagation bench in the conservatory with hubby to complement the windowsill propagator.  I just need some sand and I can start using it.

Went into the shed got some seed trays closed shred and went home. Too blooming cold >:(
All the way from my allotment in beautiful Derbyshire. I'm in year 3 of my allotment and wish I'd caught the bug years ago, things growing from strength to strength

Today I weeded my asparagus bed and gave it a dressing of Growmore.
Will get some well-rotted manure to top dress on Thursday (payday!!!! :D)

Moved the other compost darlek - there had been a tunnel through this one back in December and we suspected a rat but luckily he's either gone or he wasn't in when I moved the darlek and it's contents!! ;)

Now just need my new shed!!

Oh - also fed the elderly but spritely, feral (yeah right :tongue2:) lottie cat Tabitha

Rotovated? That's on my list of things to do in a very few weeks time but I haven't finished the winter clear up yet.

I must: sow leek seed, check to see what other seed I need to buy and get cracking!

I always find that the thought of nothing to eat in a few weeks' time spurs me on, even in dire weather  :nowink:

Just went up to the plot to retrieve my wheelbarrow so I can make a start on shifting things about in the garden at home.
