I'm digging in the garden today as it's starting to depress me looking at its sad state!

I've got that evil longish that winds its way back into my flower beds - I'd forgotton some of the beds were as big as they were because there was so much grass growing in them!

3 trips to the tip later with the green waste and a spot of lunch and I'm off again! :happy:

Much to cold to plant anything yet, so got on with building myself a potting bench (unfortunatley havent got a garden so cant do my potting up at home and take it down the allotment!) also secratery introduced two new allotmenters taking over an abandand half plot!

Dug over a third of the garden beds.

I've only stopped because it's dark and I can't see what I'm digging!

Today I finally planted my garlic. Yes I know it's very late...... Got too excited when I first got my lottie in Nov, and bought garlic. Spent a few days digging and then the weather changed! Only just had chance to go and dig, dig, dig this last week or so. If they don't work out then will have to try again next year! Also put up a little sign saying 'Amanda's garden' my mum kindly bought for me! Lovely

hi the plot has gone well over the last few dry days rain tonight so it will be left till the weekend ..

fruit trees need there fed ..strawberries need a big sort out

no garlic in yet my plot is wet in winter so it rots ..
what sort of cabbage shoud i grow this year ..

Made this strawberry bed ready for when I get them, and had a general tidy up

Planted a couple of strawberry plants, white ones. Dug a rectangle and built a brick coldframe with a old bathroom window on the top. Very pleased with myself as no diy skills at all

 Raked and weeded the new strawberry beds ,three of them.

 Hoed the rest of the plot ,laid  another path  from bricks .

Cleared a big pile of rubbish I Bertie's from previous or owner and discovered rhubarb growing under it

Another quick visit.  Posted up some posters on noticeboard and gates for seed swap and coppicing workshop.

Emptied kitchen composter into bean trench.

Wished I could have stayed up longer - so much to do!

Lovely day but too much melted snow to do anything on the soil. Put my broad beans in the cold frame.  They've been in the greenhouse at home, I hope they will be alright. 


Just heard there is a frost forecast....Oh dear.

Had a quick look in on the plot and had a chat with jack frost, he said its going to be a good long summer
