Hello,

My 2 week old chicks are jumping at each other, like they're squaring up to fight, necks stretched up and pecking the other down, is this normal? any ideas why? when iv stood n watched they're usually around 5/6 that do it, but one kind of wins as they all back away.

Chicks love sparring with each other.  It can be a sign of being males but females do it to a lesser degree.  A bit like kids in the playground play fighting but not hurting each other.

my chicks are 8 weeks old now and it looks like one is male and one is female, the male one has being doing the same thing from about 2 weeks of age!! the female one hasnt done it at all (but spends her time running in the other direction!)
