I made my own last week without any assistance at all!

I just put a dish of milk on the kitchen table covered in muslin for a few days.  It was set like greek yoghurt.  Tasty!

However, I decided to try soft cheese and wrapped it in the muslin and hung it up to drain.  When all the whey was out, I squeezed it and added some salt.  It was delish!  In Scotland it's often called Crowdie and is great on oatcakes. :)

No ill effects. ;)
(I used semi-skimmed milk from the milkman.)

If you are making yoghurt with live yogurt, if you want it to be a little thicker then mix a tablespoon of dried milk powder with the milk

An Asian colleague showed me how to do this when making yogurt with a thermos.

Thanks Mrs B.  I had heard that before, but forgot about it!  Must remember that when I make my own.  Easiyo not arrived yet!   :(  I am impatient!   ;)

I have been told by OH that I am impatient.

And if OH says so then it must be right :nowink:

Anywayz, for get about him for a moment!  My Easiyo arrived this afternoon while we were out, and the nice Hermes lady put the box round the corner of the garage so I didn't have to wait until Monday for it!

So excited, my first bio yoghurt is in the easiyo as we speak!!   :) :)
