I want to show my chickens at the fair but one of them is kind of old and the tips of her feathers are broken and frayed. I don't know how or even if there is a way to fix them but if you do know a way or even what is causing them to brake let me know. Thank You.

She might moult and they'll all come good again hopefully.  You can give your birds a bit of a tonic using poultry spice as it's full of good ingredients to help their condition.  You only need a tiny amount of power which is added to their food.  If you feed them on good quality layers pellets, supplemented by vegetables, oystershell grit etc the feathering should get better.  She could be being got at by the other birds so keep an eye out in case she's being bullied

I agree with the previous poster.  It is the time for the annual moult, and her new feathers should be much nicer.  But also just check that she does not have feather lice.  If you pick her up and examine the feathers closely just to see there are no very little creatures running about on her feathers or skin.

It may be against the rules for show poultry but falconers do replace broken feathers on live birds of prey, it`s called imping .
