Photos of Lasagne gardening
« on: August 22, 2012, 18:29 »
Some of you asked for photos of my lasagne beds. I have to say in summer they don't really look much different to any veggie beds where people use mulch on the soil.

Last winter my beds were about 1.5 feet high with composting materials which cooked down to just about four inches above path level when it came to planting out and are about level now.

Maybe I will remember to take photos and upload them when I am loading my lasagne beds for next year and things will look a lot different then.

See Kirpi's Diary for lasagne and other photos.

It would be nice to have some pictures of how to construct them, Kirpi

I'll bear that in mind Aunt Sally when that time of year comes round again - not long now!

Marvellous work Kirpi!

Super idea for dealing with the comfrey too - that pipe/bottle design should be patented and shown in the tools and machinery pages here - it's brilliant!

And are they carrots in the grey drums?

Aw thanks Aunters! Compstqueen's  kit is now well noted!

I think it's brilliant, and must beat the plastic crate we use for steeping the stuff!

This year, we've used 99% comfrey/nettle/6X tea, and some of the results have been spectacular!

All we need now is a natural recipe for keeping blight at bay, and we'll all be quids in!

(Breath not held...)
