'Lasagne' beds

OK, don't laugh, maybe I was dreaming, but I'm convinced I have read about lasagne beds somewhere. Only trouble is, I can't find where I read it!

It was something like: raised bed, weedy dug soil in the bottom, then a few layers of newspaper or cardboard, then possibly peelings etc, then compost. Or something like that. Anyone have any idea what the heck i'm on about? :?

It made a lot of sense at the time, but now I can't remember it all!

Thats where I thought I'd read it - but I had Febs, plus the whole of last years copies in a pile and I couldn't find which one I'd read it in! Was really beginning to think I'd dreamt it! Cheers!
