I wonder if anyone has any advice about one of my hens who has a very red head and neck.  She has been loosing feathers on her chest, neck and bum for a couple of weeks but now her head is nearly bald and fiery looking. I've had hens moulting before- this one was about 6 months ago - and getting bare bums which grow back to be lovely and fluffy afterwards but never had a bare head before.  Is this usual and is there anything I could put on it - I haven't seen any of the other birds pecking her at all.  Would be glad of any advice.

strange... I've got a couple the same. Not really moulting, just lost the feathers on their heads. ( Bit like me! )
they're not laying many compared to the pure breeds either so wonder if it is a moult...
