Welcome Pluker

Black Rocks are a good hardy, long lived bird and very friendy, they lay a good quality and quantity of eggs and are excellent for free ranging.

Hello Pluker, I have a couple of blackrocks.  Penelope is a lovely friendly bird and has been very motherly towards two new light sussex birds I got recently.  However the other one, Luci (short for lucifer   ) is quite a wicked piece of work.  She had been trying to bully me :!:  pecking the back of my legs whilst I was hanging out the washing.  However I have put a stop to that by chasing her round the garden every time she tried it and locked her in the run on her own for half an hour.  Hasn't done it since   She can run fast too!  They are gorgeous birds though and I did need the exercise
Lost, yesterday, somewhere between sunrise and sunset, two golden hours, each set with sixty minutes.  No reward is offered for they are gone forever. (Horace Mann)
