Raspberry and apple crumble
« on: September 20, 2011, 18:56 »
Had a Nigella moment after catching one of her old shows where she made strawberry crumble.  I had a couple of windfall eating apples and combined these with rasps........YUM!

Sounds odd but it is the best crumble I think I've ever made.  Am now scouring the Autumn Bliss rasps for the last few to freeze so we can have regular supplies of this pud over the winter  :)

Mmmmm like this one a lot. It is one of my stand bys with frozen raspberries in the middle of the winter, usually with some wrinkly apples fit for not a lot else :D

It should be tried by everyone  :D :D :D

Tried gooseberry and raspberry as have loads of goosegogs in the freezer and can also recommend that combo  ;)

The coconut sounds nice Sunshine but OH isn't keen on nuts so may have to make individual crumbles to try that one  :)

Same here, Sunny. My OH frequently takes some sort of crumble for lunch to the amazement of fellow workers who can't believe it can be made at home (and not solely by bakeries)  :D

a 9" x 13" pan of crumble can disappear in 3 days.

Crumble - a pudding made in heaven. So versatile, any fruit, any combination that you like.
Wonderful  :)

Must make this weekend!
