growing carrots in sand

could any one let me know if you can just add extra sand to an existing bed and grow a new crop of carrots. I sived the soil and added about 50kg of sand last year and the crop was great but i was going to add a ton of sand this year. If you can help please

Are you essentially proposing to have a permanent carrot bed by adding lots of sand?

What's your soil like - is it quite clayey?

Carrots do indeed like sandier types of soil, but I'd be a little reluctant a) to grow carrots in the same place year on year, as there are pests which will build up and nutrients which will deplete, or b) to add lots of sand in one place because it will prove difficult to grow other crops there which don't particularly like sand.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
