Am reading your red mite articles closely as we have had trouble all summer!!!   Everytime I think I clear a house of them they seem to sneak back a short while later.  Now am looking to move the hens into winter accommodation I would like to sort their houses out properly - any advice please
 

Your experience is not unique cleaning is just a temporary solution and will only actually wrid you of them if continued regularly after they appear to have gone.  They should diminish naturally over winter but without a residual solution they will be back again in the spring particularly if we have a mild winter.
