I've only been bitten by the Harlequin ladybird...

My plot is full of 7 spot and Adonis ladybirds- quite a few yellow ones too, though the 2 spots I saw earlier in the year have disappeared. Fingers crossed, have only seen 2 Harlequins all year.....

My 21 yr old daughter came up to me yesterday and asked if there was anything biting her ear, when I looked, it was a ladybird, I flicked it away with a piece of straw and it had left behind a drop of blood. She has been bitten before when she was a little girl, it made here cry then.

I lied...saw another Harlequin yesterday......Grrr. Not on the allotment though.

They can give quite a nip......not as vicious as earwigs though....

the outside of our house is always covered in them in the autumn, they seem to be looking for somewhere to hibernate. They drive me crazy and find the most inappropriate places for the winter period(curtains/light fittings etc)

ive never been bitten by one though.

last night, i saw a mouse running out of my door! that must say something about my house
