Seed Potato Suppliers?
« on: August 19, 2011, 13:48 »
*having Angry Rant*

I ordered my seed potatoes for Christmas harvest 2 weeks ago with a few other items from a supplier who promises on their website 1 to 2 working day tracked delivery....I spoke to them Saturday and was told to we have them in stock so if they're not there Monday to call and we'll resend them, I've spoken to them again today and they have told me my delivery has been lost by royal mail and is not trackable as they just sent it by first class post.

They cannot send another parcel as the spuds I ordered are now out of stock as seems to be the case with most other sites I have in my favourites and being a non driver with no nearby garden centres I'm a bit stuck!

Are there any cheap sites anyone can recommend ... cheap 'coz I'm now waiting for a refund back to my debit card account  ::)

I hate bad customer service...it stinks worse than a big stinky thing  :tongue2:

Edit ...Forgot to say...some places only seem to sell in huuuge amounts as well and I only have space for the spud planter bags  ::)

Fab! ...think thats probably the one site I'd not checked!

I'm gonna go and have a trek over to B&Q tomorrow and I'll order some if I can't pick any up.

Why aggravate yourself so PP.

Who wants new potatoes at Christmas when you could have delicious crisp goose grease roasties and fabulous bashed spuds for bubble and squeak.  Yummm, Yummmm, Yummm.  :D

Most growers are disappointed with their Christmas new potatoes anyway  ::)

I'd ordered some lovely red spuds as well as charlottes! ....and I really love mash, leek and spud soup with lil cubes in, baked tatties, new spuds baked with chillis ... I see a pattern here, tatters of all shapes are one of my fave comfort foods and a staple you can always rustle something tasty up with  :tongue2:
